Proposals for summer camps are announced at the Environmental Interpretation Center
Asociación Ambiente Sur announced the activities for the summer camps that will be held at the Interpretation Center "Estuary of the River Gallegos", with multiple free proposals for children between 4 and 12 years old.

The Interpretation Center will continue open in January, from Tuesday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, for scheduled visits and for local visitors and tourists who come to the city and want to know the characteristics of the Río Gallegos estuary. For children from the summer camps, the proposal that the NGO team has drawn up are visits to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, grouped by age.
For those included in the group between 4 and 6 years, called "The Playeritos", is scheduled to be received in the Low Tide Room of the CIERG, designed especially for children; the screening of the video "Piper" (Disney-Pixar), a 2016 animated short film about a small and hungry little sandpiper who learns to overcome the fear of water in order to feed himself, to conclude with the playful proposal of becoming "ornithologists" "Looking for bird tracks with the use of materials built for that purpose.
The group "Los Teros" will include children between 7 and 9 years old. For this age group, after the reception in the Marea Baja Room, the video "Macanudo (macá tobiano) teaches you" will be screened, with two game proposals: "Adivina AVEdinador" and the Threat Game, where the objective is "Between we all take care of the eggs of the Macá ", in which the fox will try to steal the eggs of the Macá tobiano and the rest of the group will protect them; for these games the costumes of fox and eggs are provided.
"Los Colos" is the group of children between 10 and 12 years old, who after welcoming them in the Marea Baja Room, will be projected an extract of the documentary "Travelers" produced by Ambiente Sur and in which the trip is related and the challenges faced by two species of migratory birds that reach the Gallegos river estuary: the reddish beach, a long-distance continental migratory, and the Macá tobiano, a migratory bird within the provincial territory and symbol of Asociación Ambiente Sur, plus the story of two children from Río Gallegos, whose artistic names are Ana and Julián. Through them are listed the resources of the estuary, the importance of its conservation and the problems it faces. For them they propose the Ecosystem Game and the Game of the "7 Wonders of the Estuary", with the division in groups and in which the challenge is to discover some of the wonders of the estuary by means of clues, with the help of photos of seven species of flora and fauna found in the estuary.
All groups will participate in a guided tour of the Interpretation Center and an interpretive tour of the estuary.
